The ship begins operations at the end of June.<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>June 2, 2024 \u2013<a href=\"https:\/\/elmercantil.com\/\"> <strong>THE MERCANTILE<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ship delivery&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/elmercantil.com\/2023\/12\/14\/balearia-bota-en-gijon-su-segundo-fast-ferry-con-motores-duales-a-gas-natural\/\">&#039;Margarita Salas&#039;<\/a>&nbsp;It is expected to take place at the end of this month of June. As Bale\u00e0ria explained, the vessel has already carried out the first navigation tests, which are part of the final phase of the construction of the vessel. In this way, the shipping company estimates to incorporate at the beginning of July the new catamaran with dual gas engines that will connect Mallorca, Menorca and Barcelona all year round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>The boat has been prepared to also connect to the electrical grid during its stays in port<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>It is the second &#039;fast ferry&#039; with dual natural gas engines in the world that is being built in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.astillerosarmon.com\/es\/\">Arm\u00f3n shipyards<\/a> of Gij\u00f3n, as recalled by the company chaired by Adolfo Utor. This unit has involved an investment of 126 million euros and has capacity for 1,200 passengers and 450 vehicles, just like its twin &#039;Eleanor Roosevelt&#039;. Now, unlike the first unit, the &#039;Margarita Salas&#039; has greater power and improvements in the deck spaces.
