{"id":18875,"date":"2020-09-27T23:34:11","date_gmt":"2020-09-27T23:34:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cero2050.es\/?p=18875"},"modified":"2021-11-29T14:08:54","modified_gmt":"2021-11-29T13:08:54","slug":"lloyds-register-publishes-guidance-on-methanol-bunkering","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cero2050.es\/es\/lloyds-register-publishes-guidance-on-methanol-bunkering\/","title":{"rendered":"Lloyd&#8217;s Register publica una gu\u00eda sobre el bunkering de metanol"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>September 1, 2020<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mientras las partes interesadas del sector mar\u00edtimo eval\u00faan las futuras opciones de combustible en apoyo de los objetivos de reducci\u00f3n de gases de efecto invernadero de la Organizaci\u00f3n Mar\u00edtima Internacional para 2030 y 2050, Lloyd&#8217;s Register (LR) y el Instituto del Metanol (MI) han elaborado una referencia t\u00e9cnica sobre el metanol para el abastecimiento de combustible, que es uno de los futuros combustibles a los que se presta mayor atenci\u00f3n.<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>La nueva gu\u00eda describe los procedimientos necesarios para el abastecimiento seguro de metanol e incorpora listas de comprobaci\u00f3n espec\u00edficas para ayudar a los armadores, operadores, puertos, proveedores de combustible y otras partes interesadas en el almacenamiento y la manipulaci\u00f3n seguros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El metanol ya se utiliza como combustible marino en varios tipos de buques. En comparaci\u00f3n con las opciones tradicionales de fueloil pesado, sus caracter\u00edsticas de ausencia de azufre y sus menores emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero (GEI) que el combustible convencional pueden ayudar a los propietarios a cumplir la normativa sobre emisiones de la OMI para 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"311\" height=\"162\" src=\"https:\/\/cero2050.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/lr.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18878\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cero2050.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/lr.png 311w, https:\/\/cero2050.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/lr-300x156.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 311px) 100vw, 311px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Al tratarse de un combustible de bajo punto de inflamaci\u00f3n y de un producto peligroso por contacto, los socios identificaron la necesidad de una referencia t\u00e9cnica que se basara en la experiencia de los actores del sector que utilizan el metanol con \u00e9xito en sus buques para ofrecer las mejores pr\u00e1cticas claras y concisas para el abastecimiento de combustible. El metanol, que se ha manipulado con seguridad como producto qu\u00edmico durante d\u00e9cadas, se ha utilizado recientemente como combustible y requiere un conocimiento detallado de las opciones de entrega en tierra y en barcaza, as\u00ed como de la configuraci\u00f3n de los tanques a bordo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u00abEl metanol se considera cada vez m\u00e1s uno de los combustibles candidatos a ser utilizados en la descarbonizaci\u00f3n del transporte mar\u00edtimo. Ya se utiliza como combustible marino en buques cisterna, buques de carga, transbordadores y embarcaciones portuarias. Su perfil de menor contaminaci\u00f3n y emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero ofrece a los armadores la oportunidad de cumplir la normativa de la OMI 2020 y de avanzar hacia el cumplimiento de la OMI 2030, al tiempo que se adquieren valiosos conocimientos de cara a los objetivos de la OMI 2050.\u00bb<\/p><cite>Chris Chatterton, Director de Operaciones (COO) del Instituto del Metanol (MI)<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201cThe maritime industry is sizing up many decarbonization options in its journey from low carbon to net zero. Methanol is among these and it offers a pathway that will enable owners to progressively lower their emissions\u2019 profile while using conventional engine systems and technology to achieve net zero.
