{"id":18885,"date":"2020-09-27T23:52:42","date_gmt":"2020-09-27T23:52:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cero2050.es\/?p=18885"},"modified":"2021-11-29T14:08:54","modified_gmt":"2021-11-29T13:08:54","slug":"decarbonice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cero2050.es\/es\/decarbonice\/","title":{"rendered":"decarbonICE\u2122"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"yui_3_17_2_1_1601250204952_237\">La tecnolog\u00eda decarbonICE\u2122 es una soluci\u00f3n radicalmente innovadora de captura y almacenamiento de carbono (CCS) para reducir las emisiones de GEI de la industria del transporte mar\u00edtimo con una estimaci\u00f3n del 90%. El concepto consiste en congelar el CO2 de los gases de escape de un barco en polvo de hielo seco. Echar el polvo de hielo seco en bloques de hielo aerodin\u00e1micos y descargarlos en el mar profundo. Como el hielo de CO2 es m\u00e1s pesado que el agua, descender\u00e1 hasta el lecho marino, donde penetrar\u00e1 en los sedimentos y se almacenar\u00e1 permanentemente, principalmente como hidrato de CO2.<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Impacto ambiental<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>El transporte mar\u00edtimo emite cerca de 1.000 millones de toneladas de CO2 cada a\u00f1o, de las cuales el 80% proviene de los barcos en el comercio de alta mar.<br>Mediante la aplicaci\u00f3n de la tecnolog\u00eda decarbonICE\u2122, se pretende reducir las emisiones del transporte mar\u00edtimo de alta mar en un 90% de forma segura, ecol\u00f3gica y asequible.<br>La captura del CO2 tiene lugar en una planta criog\u00e9nica a bordo que produce un Veh\u00edculo de Descenso de Carbono (CDV) de hielo seco de CO2 puro. El CDV se lanza al mar en grandes \u00e1reas de la llanura abisal por debajo de los 3.000 metros de profundidad y penetra en el fondo marino a una profundidad suficiente en los sedimentos del fondo marino que s\u00f3lo la vida muy primitiva, en forma de bacterias, se ve potencialmente afectada.<br>La presi\u00f3n y la temperatura en los lugares de almacenamiento transformar\u00e1n el hielo seco en CO2 l\u00edquido que luego reacciona con el agua de los poros en hidrato de CO2, algo de lo que los sedimentos del fondo marino ya contienen trillones de toneladas.<br>El hidrato de CO2 es termodin\u00e1micamente estable dentro de los sedimentos, y se almacenar\u00e1 de forma segura durante un m\u00ednimo de decenas de miles de a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tecnolog\u00eda a bordo<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>decarbonICE is a pioneering carbon capture and storage (CCS) solution for reducing GHG emissions from ships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The solution builds on known technologies and physical principles and can be used on new buildings and   retrofitted into ships using existing fuels such as HFO, MGO and LNG. When new carbon neutral fuels like biofuels or synthetic fuels (e-fuels) become available, the technology will in combination with such fuels lead to carbon negative shipping, where CO2 is removed from the atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>decarbonICE es una soluci\u00f3n pionera de captura y almacenamiento de carbono (CCS) para reducir las emisiones de GEI de los barcos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La soluci\u00f3n se basa en tecnolog\u00edas y principios f\u00edsicos conocidos y puede ser utilizada en nuevas construcciones y ser adaptada a los buques utilizando combustibles existentes como HFO, MGO y GNL.
