By 2030, they want a significant share of sea-going vessels to \u2018plug in\u2019 once they have moored along one of the port\u2019s quays. This will allow them to power down their diesel generators while berthed \u2013 good news for local air quality and the vessels\u2019 carbon footprint. Over the next five years, the partners will be initiating a series of projects that are intended to accelerate and scale up the adoption of shore-based power. Depending on the experiences gained in these projects, the Municipality and the Port Authority may adapt their targets in this area in 2025.<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Seg\u00fan Arno Bonte, Vicealcalde de Rotterdam para la Sostenibilidad, el Aire Limpio y la Transici\u00f3n Energ\u00e9tica, el plan es un gran paso adelante para la sostenibilidad del puerto. La energ\u00eda de la costa nos permite conectar los barcos a una fuente de energ\u00eda limpia. Esto previene tanto la contaminaci\u00f3n del aire como las molestias ac\u00fasticas &#8211; lo que mejorar\u00e1 las condiciones para los residentes locales y para las \u00e1reas naturales circundantes. Nuestro puerto ser\u00e1 una vez m\u00e1s un poco m\u00e1s verde\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u00abNuestra visi\u00f3n combina ambici\u00f3n y pragmatismo. Estableceremos de ocho a diez proyectos de energ\u00eda en tierra para una variedad de tipos de embarcaciones mar\u00edtimas. Lo haremos en asociaci\u00f3n con empresas de la zona portuaria y con las compa\u00f1\u00edas navieras que utilizan nuestro puerto. Supervisaremos continuamente los resultados de estos proyectos para saber si podemos acelerar el proceso o necesitamos tomarnos un poco m\u00e1s de tiempo\u00bb.<\/p><cite><em>Allard Castelein, CEO de la Autoridad del Puerto de Rotterdam<\/em><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Buques<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>Los buques requieren energ\u00eda el\u00e9ctrica para una variedad de procesos a bordo, como la iluminaci\u00f3n, el funcionamiento de todo tipo de equipo y el mantenimiento de los contenedores con productos alimenticios a la temperatura adecuada, por ejemplo. Esta energ\u00eda generalmente proviene de generadores diesel, que liberan contaminantes, emisiones de carbono y ruido. En principio, tambi\u00e9n se podr\u00eda conectar un barco a la red el\u00e9ctrica en tierra mientras est\u00e1 atracado. Sin embargo, esto requiere que el propio barco, los muelles terminales y la red el\u00e9ctrica se adapten a esta soluci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cada a\u00f1o, los buques de mar anclados en los muelles de Rotterdam consumen tanta energ\u00eda el\u00e9ctrica como 250.000 a 300.000 hogares. Y en el proceso, liberan varias emisiones da\u00f1inas a la atm\u00f3sfera, incluyendo 600.000 toneladas de CO2 y 8.000 toneladas de nitr\u00f3geno. Para el 2030, la estrategia de Rotterdam en la costa podr\u00eda resultar en un ahorro de carbono de aproximadamente 200.000 toneladas por a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, pr\u00e1cticamente todos los muelles p\u00fablicos para la navegaci\u00f3n interior en Rotterdam han sido equipados con una toma de corriente en tierra. Los buques de navegaci\u00f3n interior consumen mucha menos energ\u00eda que sus hom\u00f3logos de navegaci\u00f3n mar\u00edtima. Para limitar las molestias para la zona circundante, el ferry de Stena Line en Hoek van Holland ha estado utilizando energ\u00eda de tierra desde hace alg\u00fan tiempo. Y Eneco y la Autoridad Portuaria est\u00e1n trabajando actualmente en una instalaci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda en tierra cerca de Rozenburg para los buques de alta mar de Heerema, que regularmente atracan en este lugar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Tres pilares<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>En vista de la variedad de tipos de buques y lugares de amarre involucrados, los socios han basado su estrategia en tierra en tres pilares diferentes. El primer pilar se centra principalmente en la calidad del entorno social circundante, asegurando que todos los muelles p\u00fablicos de las zonas urbanizadas se equipen en \u00faltima instancia con tomas de corriente en tierra. El objetivo es que el 90% de estas conexiones sean utilizadas por los buques que hagan escala en el puerto para el a\u00f1o 2030. Adem\u00e1s, R\u00f3tterdam tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1 examinando las oportunidades de realizar energ\u00eda el\u00e9ctrica en tierra a lo largo de los muelles privados cerca de las zonas urbanizadas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El segundo pilar se caracteriza por \u00abgrandes pasos adelante siempre que sea posible\u00bb. El objetivo es construir una nueva capacidad de energ\u00eda en tierra para transbordadores, buques de carga rodada, buques de alta mar y cruceros, que deber\u00eda tener una tasa de utilizaci\u00f3n del 90% para 2030. En el caso de los buques portacontenedores, la ambici\u00f3n se ha fijado en una adopci\u00f3n del 50% de la energ\u00eda en tierra por parte de los grandes buques (10.000+ TEU) a partir de 2030. Y por \u00faltimo, el tercer pilar se centra en el desarrollo de innovaciones para categor\u00edas especiales de buques como, por ejemplo, los graneleros de l\u00edquidos, que son dif\u00edciles de acomodar con las actuales instalaciones de energ\u00eda en tierra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En los a\u00f1os venideros, el objetivo es realizar de ocho a diez proyectos concretos en tierra, que se dividir\u00e1n entre los tres pilares principales del programa. Se espera que este programa requiera una inversi\u00f3n total de unos 125 millones de euros. La mayor parte de este presupuesto ser\u00e1 aportado por las empresas implicadas, el Ayuntamiento y la Autoridad Portuaria.
