El Yara Birkeland de 120 TEU es el primer alimentador de contenedores el\u00e9ctrico a bater\u00eda del mundo para uso comercial, y el objetivo final de los socios del proyecto es operarlo como un buque aut\u00f3nomo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"780\" height=\"470\" src=\"https:\/\/cero2050.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Yara-Birkeland-autonomous-boxship-780x470-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-30048\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cero2050.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Yara-Birkeland-autonomous-boxship-780x470-1.jpg 780w, https:\/\/cero2050.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Yara-Birkeland-autonomous-boxship-780x470-1-332x200.jpg 332w, https:\/\/cero2050.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Yara-Birkeland-autonomous-boxship-780x470-1-768x463.jpg 768w, https:\/\/cero2050.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Yara-Birkeland-autonomous-boxship-780x470-1-16x10.jpg 16w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 780px) 100vw, 780px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>El casco  fue construido por el astillero Braila de Vard en Rumania, e inicialmente su equipamiento y entrega estaban programados para ser completados en Vard Brevik. Posteriormente, la obra se traslad\u00f3 a Vard Brattvaag y la entrega prevista para el segundo trimestre se retras\u00f3 debido a la pandemia de COVID-19. Ahora que ha sido entregado, se someter\u00e1 a m\u00e1s pruebas y al desarrollo de un sistema aut\u00f3nomo en un \u00e1rea designada cerca de Horten, Noruega.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despu\u00e9s de experimentar retrasos debido al Covid-19, se espera que la primera nave aut\u00f3noma del mundo alimentada por bater\u00eda entre en funcionamiento hacia finales de 2021.Para la primera fase del proyecto, se ha instalado un puente desmontable con equipo de maniobra y navegaci\u00f3n. En el futuro, cuando la nave est\u00e9 lista para funcionar de forma aut\u00f3noma, este m\u00f3dulo ser\u00e1 levantado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En el despliegue comercial, el buque transportar\u00e1 fertilizantes desde la planta de fertilizantes de Yara en Porsgrunn hasta los puertos de alta mar de Larvik y Brevik, un viaje de unas 30 millas n\u00e1uticas. Seg\u00fan Yara y el socio del proyecto Kongsberg, las operaciones del buque reducir\u00e1n las emisiones de NOx y CO2 al disminuir el transporte de camiones con motor diesel en unos 40.000 viajes al a\u00f1o. Sin embargo, los proyectos de innovaci\u00f3n conllevan incertidumbres y desaf\u00edos. En particular, la log\u00edstica aut\u00f3noma en tierra que ha demostrado ser un reto para el proyecto.
