National Action Framework for Alternative Energies in Transportation

Market development and implementation of the supply infrastructure in compliance with Directive 2014/94 / EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of October 22, 2014.


Directive 2014/94 / EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of October 22, 2014 on the implementation of an infrastructure for alternative fuels requires each Member State to adopt a National Action Framework (NPF). The Spanish MAN was approved by the Council of Ministers at its meeting on December 9, 2016 together with Royal Decree 639/2016, which transposed the aforementioned Directive.

In recent years, MAN has made progress and in 2019 the Interministerial Commission prepared its monitoring report that, on the one hand, analyzes the evolution of the use of alternative energies in transport, updating the park and supply infrastructures in the different modes of transport (road, sea, rail and air). On the other hand, the measures that have been carried out by the different administrations to promote the use of
alternative energy in transportation.
